Email Report Overview

Track and analyze how your emails are performing! Here's an overview of what you can expect to find in each of our email reports.

Reporting is key to making sure that your emails are performing well. Below is an overview of what you can expect to find in each of our email reports.

All of BenchmarkONE's email reports give you filtering options on the top left and can be exported to a CSV file.

Click on the column headers in any report to re-order the data shown. 

Email Activity by Day Summary:

  • This reports tracks your daily total email activity. Tracked activity includes emails sent, opened, bounces, link clicks, unsubscribes and complaints.

  • You can customize your report by filtering by date and/or by sender.

  • Uses: See your overall email activity by day. 

Email Stats by Date Sent:

  • This report shows unique email activity, tracked on the date your email was sent. (Ex: You send an email on Monday; 4 people open on Monday and 4 open on Tuesday. This report will track 8 opens on Monday, even if one of them opened more than once).

  • You can customize your report by filtering by sender and/or date.

  • Uses: See what day to send is best for your business. 

Email by Template:

  • This report shows email statistics specific to each template sent.

  • Click through by clicking on the template name to see which days the email template was sent.

  • You can customize this report by filtering by date and/or sender.

  • Uses: See which email templates had your best or worst responses so you can edit your content strategy to be most effective. 

Clicks by Contact:

  • This report is designed to show you total clicks by contact and which templates they are clicking through.

  • Click on a contact's name to get to their contact record.

  • Click on the email subject to see a quick overview of that email template.

  • You can customize the report by filtering by date sent, sender or email template.

  • Uses: To see which contacts have clicked through your email templates within a certain time period. 

Link Activity:

  • This report gives you a list of your URLs and how many unique clicks you have received on each one. It also provides an overview of how many emails have been sent out with that URL and the click-through rate percentage on each URL.

  • Customize this report by filtering by date.

  • Uses: See which URLs have the most clicks to give an idea of what is most engaging for your audience.

Opens by Date Sent:

  • This report is designed to show you a graph of emails opened over time and a list of contacts who are opening particular emails.

  • Click on the contact's name from the list to go to their contact record.

  • Click on the email template name to see a quick overview of that template.

  • Customize the report with the filters for date sent, sender and email template.

  • Uses: See which contacts opened which templates within a certain time period. 

Bounces:

  • This report gives you an overview of your bounce data. Look at bounce percentage over time or a list by contact.

  • Click on the email template name to see a quick overview of that template.

  • Customize your report by filtering by date sent, sender or email template.

  • Uses: Look at your bounce data over time and see which contacts have recently bounced to make sure you have good email addresses for your contacts. 

Unsubscribes:

  • This report gives you an overview of your unsubscribe data. Look at your unsubscribe percentage over time or a list by contact.

  • Click on the email template name to see a quick overview of that template.

  • Customize your report by filtering by date sent, sender or email template.

  • Uses: Learn what email templates are resulting in the most unsubscribes.  

Complaints:

  • This report gives you an overview of your complaint data. Look at your complaint percentage over time or a list by contact.

  • Click on the email template name to see a quick overview of that email template.

  • Customize your report by filtering by date sent, sender or email template.

  • Uses: Learn what email templates are resulting in SPAM complaints from your audience.
