E-mail authentication is the process that allows you to mask Dyn as your relay point in all of your emails and replace it with your own domain. This does not affect any email sent outside of Hatchbuck; but, it will drastically improve your deliverability when sending from your Hatchbuck Account. E-mail authentication can lead to a better sending reputation and more consistent inbox delivery.

This can be accomplished with the addition of a few new DNS records, you need to have access (and permission!) to make some DNS changes on your sending domain.

You will need to add three TXT records:

1) Contact Hatchbuck Support or your Hatchbuck Consultant for the correct records for your domain.

2) You will need to add an SPF record (or edit your current SPF to include our email vendor).

3) You will need to add a domain key record with a selector of "dyn."

4) Finally, you'll need to add a domain keys policy record


Below is example text of what the changes will look like:

After adding these records to your domain, they can take some time to propagate across the internet. A best practice is to give yourself roughly 24 hours before sending any emails once you have made the DNS changes. This is only to ensure you don't unintentionally receive bad delivery rates while the changes are propagating.
